EMMY AWARD-WINNING PROGRAM. Join Grammy award winning musician and storyteller David Holt as he ventures across North America to explore some of our best rail adventures.   In More Trains Around North America we will visit eleven railways stretching from the Pacific Northwest of Canada all the way to the Adirondack Mountains of New York.

We'll taste the fine cuisine on board the Cape Cod Central Railroad's dinner train --  a five star meal with a stunning coastal views just out side your window.   A visit to the Mount Hood Scenic Railway will be a feast for the senses as we travel to the base of this 11,000-foot sleeping volcanic mountain. We will stay overnight on the only moving bed and breakfast train in the nation located up in northern Wisconsin. You will see first hand the largest collection of historic rail equipment in the nation at the Illinois railway museum, and meet some of the volunteers that keep it operational... Bald Eagles continue to thrive along the south branch valley of the Potomac River and the best way to see them is on the Potomac eagle scenic railway. Steam and the old west are still alive in Virginia City Nevada, where the wild mustangs still roam free along the route of the Virginia and Truckee railroad.

But that's just part of the story!  You will experience High-end luxury rail travel on the Pullman Rail Journeys city of New Orleans train. You'll absorb the fresh air of the southern Appalachian Mountains on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway as it ascends to the small mining town of Copperhill Tennessee.  The best way to see the majesty of the Canadian Rockies is on board the Rocky Mountaineer...

The Adirondack Mountains have always been a haven for the rich and famous and the Adirondack scenic railway still affords a taste of that era.  And, finally, we will stop in and see what all the “stink” is about on the northern California's skunk train as it takes us deep into the towering redwood forest.
